• Student observer at a Sustainability Roundtable Discussion in Sydney for the NGO in 2010, involved Ministerial level government representatives from China and Australia and many well-known Australian listed company CEOs

• Volunteer at the start

• Send the Secretary General my CV after, seeking a chance to take part on their work in Melbourne

• Went to their office for a ‘chat’

• 1 month later, I got a call from them!

• Always follow up with people you have had a business conversation with

• Take notes!

• Write a follow up email on topics you have discussed briefly, or an topic you are highly interested to participate

• Let them know what you can bring to them!

• Always negotiate on your package!!! Don’t be afraid to ask for a higher salary at the start.
