Chief executive officers can no longer afford to view themselves as hospital administrators – they must be “market managers” who actively build and maintain both local and regional referrals. Small and rural market managers know that developing a physician recruitment engine is an essential and ongoing process to ensure the recruitment and retention of high quality physicians and other providers. Mr. Halley will discuss the concepts of Physician Integration Economics in small community settings and review the principles of a successful physician employment option.
