Striving for the best… An understanding derived in part from his practice of Tai Chi, Eran Sandhaus believes that life is about balance: balance of work and play, challenges and successes, travel and rest. As the director of marketing for wireless connectivity solutions at Texas Instruments Incorporated (TI), Sandhaus uses his appreciation for balance as a sturdy foundation for daily work, helping the connectivity team juggle various priorities in this fast-growing business. Sandhaus leads strategic marketing efforts, plans roadmaps and defines requirements of next-generation solutions for TI’s connectivity products. With his guidance, the team executes key initiatives with TI’s proven Bluetooth®, WLAN, GPS and FM technologies, and supports TI’s robust ecosystem that spurs innovation in these areas.

Milestones… The connectivity group has achieved a number of milestones under Sandhaus’ leadership. He drives the company’s connectivity combo and multi-radio strategy, establishing product definition for the WiLink™ family of solutions and software roadmaps, and enhanced the overall connectivity ecosystem. Moving forward, Sandhaus and his team are also looking beyond the handset realm to address and identify additional markets for TI’s connectivity solutions to support. In the process of developing these current and future connectivity plans, Sandhaus leads solution integration programs with TI’s OMAP™ processor business unit. Sand-haus and his team build from successes each day, using them as sturdy foundations for future milestones.

Outside of TI … Outside of work, Sandhaus most enjoys spending time with his wife and three children. He also travels fre-quently, and thrives on the opportunity to explore new places and meet people from all around the world. Visiting more than 20 countries in the past six years alone, Sandhaus marks London, Paris and Israel as his favorites – London and Paris for their unique atmospheres and overall styles, and Israel for its blend of people and rich history.

Pushing the envelope … Similar to the uniqueness, style and history he appreciates most in his travels, Sandhaus finds great treasures in the wireless world, which he describes as dynamic, exciting and revolutionary. From the introduction of Motorola’s Startek product, which brought about a “mobile voice to the people,” to the game-changing iPhone that Sandhaus marks as a major milestone for today’s generation, the mobile pursuit has always been about freedom of information anywhere, anytime.

Sandhaus considers TI a leading player in this pursuit, constantly pushing the envelope on all dimensions to transform the mobile device from a simple accessory to a personalized technological masterpiece. With a leading knowledge and expertise in the overall system, TI – according to Sandhaus – has the means and strategy to deliver continuous innovation and enable customers to leverage investments across all markets and services. In the connectivity mix that Sandhaus leads, the opportunity for a combo strategy deliv-ers lower size, cost and better performance that complement this trend for more wireless capabilities and lower-cost end products.

Overall, Sandhaus takes pride in working at TI – a company that he believes “takes its share in building a better world by enabling people to use technology to communicate with each other.” He gathers energy from his fellow TIers, who epitomize a drive for suc-cess, a legacy for constant evolution and a dedication to global teamwork.

Previous experience … Sandhaus previously served as the worldwide marketing manager for TI’s mobile connectivity solu-tions (MCS) business unit, leading product management and marketing groups. In this role, he helped establish the company’s WLAN strategy, with a focus on the mobile terminals and cellular handheld segments.

Prior to joining TI in 2005, Sandhaus spent three years at Marvell Semiconductor, a broadband communications company, where he worked with the embedded and emerging business unit. Before joining Marvell, he spent five years with Galileo Technology (now a part of Marvell), where he held a number of progressively responsible positions in research and development, and in the communications controllers business unit.

Education … Sandhaus graduated from the Technion, Israel’s Institute of Technology, in Haifa, Israel, where he received a mas-ter’s degree in business administration and a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering. He also completed the Science Honors Program at Columbia University and an International Baccalaureate program at the UN International School in New York City.
