ENERGYSAVE ELECTROCOATPHOTOVOLTAIC PAINT

ULTRA THIN AND POWERFUL SOLAR PANELS

INTRODUCTION

Energysave ElectroCoat is a new innovative Nano-Technology that a 75 year old polymer scientist developed within the last 15

Years and is now close to perfection and could be ready for the international market within a year to maximum two years,

providing that a funding partner or investor is found.

History:

In 2000, a South African invented breathable, nano-technology paint, set up commercial production.. Since then, the technology

has been expanded with applications in self-levelling floor screeds, textured wall coatings, flexible crack repair products and

other decorative and structural materials. They also have fire retardant and heat insulation properties which supply other

architectural benefits. A special application is the encapsulation of asbestos panels or insulation, removing the need for

extensive rebuilding and renovation. ElectroCoat is a further invention by the same team.

Past performance record:

• Research at US, Polymer Science: Invention, patents and pilot plants in the field of bio- technology and membranes for water

purification. Now commercially used.

• Plastic processing. Latest was initialising the development and patenting of the “Lomold” process for large and stress free

composite mouldings. Now commercially used.

• Coatings: Nano technology , breathable cementitious paints and other self levelling floor screeds and specialised coating

screeds. Now commercially used.

1. ILLUSTRATION OF DESIGN AND MODE OF OPERATION

1. Baseplate / Material of choice

For example: Duroplastics plastics

- Readily available mounting systems can be used

2. Mylar film or an other sunlight durable coating,

to be coated on base plate (UV Stabilized)

3. Distance between the cells about 5-6mm, is filled

with a electrode grid printed with on the market

available silver nitrate (in nano-size) to maximize

and stabilize the performance. This together with

ionic electrolytes and improved active coating and

flow-directing connections.

2. ILLUSTRATION OF DESIGN AND MODE OF OPERATION

5. ½ of the amount of cells per Panel is made of a

GRAPHITE based material which is on the market

available as sealing product for high pressure and high

temperature applications in combust engines (later

improvements of efficiency possible by use of Graphine)

- Connected in Series

6. The other ½ of the amount of cells per Panel is made of a

similar substance to Titanium dioxide

- Connected in parallel

4. Each Cell has a size of 4-6cm, which can vary in the

further development progress

3. ILLUSTRATION OF DESIGN AND MODE OF OPERATION

7. Sealing of Zells and connecting electro grid, through clear

paint coating and/or Top Cover in form of readily on the Market

availble PCM (Phase Change Material) Board or a Cover of

other Material which lets pass UV-radiation, but is weather

resistant and can endure heat.

Theoretically the ground coating and

the Cells (which can be sprayed on

with a strickle) as well as Top Coating

could be sprayed with a spray gun

and installed on any surface, just the

electrode grid should be preprinted

and put on the Cells to capture and

direct the flow of the generated

electricity of each cell.

1.5 THE PROTOTYPE INTRODUCTION

Prototype: Nano Photovoltaic Cells hand painted cardboard

This Picture shows a hand painted Prototype, it is

a 20 Cell Photo galvanic colour module on

cardboard and positioned with Sellotape.

1.5 THE PROTOTYPE INTRODUCTION

The performance of our Prototype:

The size of one cell in an Solar Panel: 60 x 120 mm

Voltage: up to 1,5 Volts

Ampere: up to 44 Milliampere

This Cells in one Solar Panel 3 foot x 6 foot (91cm x 183 cm)

= 180 Cells connected in series and parallel = 534 watts

The maximum achieved performance is 534 watts for the (91cm x 183 cm) Solar Panel

That amounts to 320 Watt / m2 and is attractively priced compared to high performance "polycrystalline silicon"

modules, which are not environmentally friendly in production and in performance only up to 200 Watt / m2

Our innovative Solar Panels can even store energy!!!

–We achieve this already with this first Prototype, our performance variance is due to our instable makeshift module, we

can still improve the performance!!!

The Module of the next generation will have a performance of over 320 Watt / m2 and thus exceeds market leadership

and is environmentally friendly in the production process, we use waste products from wine production and all materials

used by us for production are readily available on the international Market…

1.6 THE PROTOTYPE INTRODUCTION

Prototype: Sand which generates electricity

1.7 ADVANTAGES OF ENERGYSAVE ELECTROCOAT MODULES

Advantages of Energysave Electrocoat Modules:

- Energy can be stored in the modules

- Also generate electricity in diffuse light

- Better weather resistance and robustness because no

solar glass cover or brittle and impact sensitive silicon

is required

- Environmentally friendly production

- Simple production processes

- Much lower production costs as nowadays

commercially available monocrystalline and

polycrystalline modules

- Easy adaptation to customer requirements

- Can also be produced in other colors on customer

request

The modules also produce direct current, which is

fed into the inverter and then fed into the grid

2.1 PRICE AND PERFORMANCE RATIO

At the moment we are conservatively estimating production costs of approx.

0.15 Euro per watt peak

The cost estimate taking into account the knowledge of building the Protoype we can estimate a future

cost of production for a solar Panel of 35,00 Euro per square meter. This compared to the usual

market prices, we are far below the usual commercial prices and thus have a huge advantage

compared to international leaders in the Photovoltaic market like SOLARWORLD, FIRST SOLAR, we

can produce for 30% of standard market prices, as shown below:

5 kWp Photovoltaic system on house roof approx. 50m2 area

Costs: today approx. 8500 Euro

Minus: 10% power supply and meter 850 Euro

Minus: Inverter 2000 Euro

= 5650 Euro / 50m2

= 113 Euro per m2 Selling price

Energysave Electrocoat Solar Panel = 35 Euro estimated manufacturing costs per m2

PRODUCTION COSTS

We can produce now already for a Price per Watt

Peak (Wp) 0,11 Euro /Wp

LOWEST REPORTED PRODUCTION COSTS FROMGLOBAL MARKET OUTLOOK FOR SOLAR POWER FROM 2016 TO 2020

• China 0.37 US Dollar per Watt Peak in Q1/2016

• Canadian Solar targets Module costs as low as 0.29 US Dollar per Watt

peak in Q4 / 2017

!!! WE CAN BEAT THIS BY FAR !!!

2.2 PRICE AND PERFORMANCE RATIO

Optional: costs for photovoltaic energy storage

Into the total cost of 8500 euros for a 5 kWp plant are not included the cost of a photovoltaic

energy storage. These devices have become an issue in sales talks for a new photovoltaic system,

especially since the German storage support program, which has been available since May 2013.

The self-consumption of solar power is becoming increasingly attractive as the feed-in tariff continues

to fall. Photovoltaic energy storage for a one family home currently costs between € 6,000 and €

15,000. With this aid an average 5kWp plant can be up to € 3,000 cheaper.

As mentioned before, Energysave Electrocoat modules have the

positive characteristic of storing energy. The hand-painted prototype

on cardboard has operated LEDs 7 times 24 hours without even

being exposed to sunlight. More accurate data still need to be

determined in the next phase and with the next prototype…

Until now, we have not yet made an attempt to determine the exact

storage capacity and thus the savings in the battery purchase.

(This will be done in the next phase and with the next prototype)Source: http://www.solaranlagen-
