Carbonite Recover is a disaster recovery as a service offering that securely replicates critical systems from your primary environment to the secure Carbonite cloud. Carbonite Recover ensures that an up-to-date secondary copy is available for failover at any moment, minimizing downtime as well as costs. Carbonite Recover keeps systems online and accessible no matter what happens at the source.
Highlights of this offering include:
• Recovery times and recovery points of mere minutes • Replication from the primary server to the cloud happens continuously and at
byte level. Failover to the cloud-based replica occurs in minutes, measuring an RTO in minutes and RPO in seconds.
• Orchestration for multi-tier applications • Carbonite Recover supports the specific boot orders and additional needs for
custom automation that multi-tier applications require to ensure the application is recovered appropriately.
• Non-disruptive, self-service testing • Enables service level agreements to be validated and verified by providing the
ability to easily test failover and recovery capabilities without impact to the production servers.
Who to sell to:
• Mid-market customers with 5+ systems and no secondary data center for data protection
• Physical, Virtual or cloud-based systems
• Limited IT resources – not necessarily business continuity skill
Problems target customers might be experiencing:
• Backup provides very long recovery times – which are too long for key business systems. Downtime needs to be minimized.
• Without a second data center, there’s no cost-effective way to achieve high availability.
• Configuring, maintaining, and operating a disaster recovery solution requires specialized skills that many organizations don’t have.
