The Introduction to Engineering Construction (ITEC) Programme is a one year course and will give the selected young people the relevant skills, knowledge and health and safety awareness required to prepare them for working in the engineering construction sector. INTRODUCTION TO ENGINEERING (ITEC) PROGRAMME WHAT IT COVERS The Engineering Construction Industry Training Board (ECITB) and The Engineering College are working in partnership to offer an excellent opportunity for students who wish to pursue a career within the Engineering Construction Industry. Our ITEC Programme runs for an academic year for three days a week. While in centre, students will do 10 weeks of practical study in: General Health & Safety Basic power tools/ hand tools Cutting and shaping Gas Cutting Plating Turning / Milling MMA Students will also work towards achieving a Level 3 City & Guilds 2850 Diploma in Engineering. ENTRY REQUIREMENTS Individuals must meet the following requirements to be accepted onto an ITEC programme. WHAT IT COVERS
