Our Principal - Venture Lighting India Limited (VL), situated at Madras Export Processing Zone started its commercial production in the year 1998. Venture Lighting is having the largest plant for manufacturing Metal Halide lamps in the whole of Pacific Rim and the only one of its kind in India.

Venture Lighting India Limited is a fully owned subsidiary of Venture Lighting International Inc. USA an integral part of Advance Lighting Technologies Inc. (ADLT) USA. Venture Lighting started its operation in 1983 at Solon, Ohio, USA and is the only company in the world to focus exclusively on design, development and manufacturing of Metal halide lamps. Venture Lighting is a pioneer in Metal Halide technology and takes pride in having introduced more than 75% of Metal halide lamp types currently available in the world market. Venture's global patented Second generation ,Uniform Pulse start Metal Halide systems are more energy efficient, better starting and up to 60% quick re-striking, better color uniformity and better lumen maintenance and life compared to Pinched body 1st generation Metal Halide lamps.

Venture Lighting currently manufactures about 4, 50,000 MH lamps / Month, 2, 00,000 HID Ballast / Month and about 1, 50,000 Ignitors / Month. Our products are currently exported to countries like USA, Europe, Australia, New Zealand and Gulf etc. We have about 1,000 employees working in our Chennai plant and having a fully fledged R&D and Engineering facility. Metal Halide Lamps are part of High Intensity Discharge Lamps category. There are four types of lamps in this category

Low Pressure Sodium Vapour Lamp High Pressure Mercury Vapour Lamp High Pressure Sodium Vapour Lamp Metal Halide Lamp.

These are arc discharge types of lamps. When electricity passes thru' a Metal Halide lamp, Arc is created between the two electrodes provided in the arc tube which is heart of Metal Halide lamps and the source for light output. This arc is created in a chamber wherein Venture products are filled in with High Purity Argon gas to create inert atmosphere and help in Ionization process. Halide pills made up with combination of Sodium, Scandium, Thallium, etc in Iodide forms are filled along with a very small amount of Mercury inside the arc chamber.

Venture has invented second generation Metal Halide lamps called Uniform Pulse start system wherein the arc tube is made in shape which follows the physical shape of arc itself (Parabola) thus make our product more efficient than the 1st generation MH lamps . Our product uses a technology of converting more heat energy to light energy by reduction of mass in fins area of arc tube where in the heat loss is high in first generation metal halide lamp. By virtue of the revised shape, Venture product will be operating with greater efficiency, Quick warm up and re-strike time, Better lumen maintenance, Better color uniformity and longer life.
