Who REALLY Shot Mr. Burns Investigation

Mr. Lloyd

Who REALLY shot Mr. Burns?

More than 20 Years ago,

a heinous act was carried out against one C. Montgomery Burns. Although many individuals had motive to carry out this crime, it was revealed that the true perpetrator was the young infant Maggie Simpson. According to statements made by Mr. Burns and a bunch of circumstantial evidence that coincidently fit this story, Maggie Simpson shot Mr. Burns with Mr. Burns’ own gun as he attempted to take her lollipop. Although this story was accepted at the time, many considered it to be too convenient...

Seriously wounded, Mr. Burns staggered

towards the town’s sundial where he

collapsed. He was found a short time later

by townspeople leaving a heated town

meeting in which many in attendance

discussed how they planned to “deal” with

Mr. Burns. The Springfield Police

department sealed off the area and began

its investigation under the leadership of

Chief Clancy Wiggum Today, signs of a struggle have been discovered at the sundial seem to indicate that Mr. Burns was attacked there and injured his attacker before being shot. In addition, the initial investigation “misplaced” files containing key evidence found at the crime scene. The evidence contained blood samples taken from the weapon used at the crime scene. Authorities now believe that the blood found on the weapon belongs to Mr. Burns’ true assailant.

Mr. Lloyd

Suspect #1: Homer Simpson Suspect #2: Waylon Smithers

Suspect #3: Seymour Skinner Suspect #4: Groundskeeper Willy

Motive:

Mr. Burns could never remember his name

Motive:

The devoted personal assistant to Mr. Burns was fired for trying

to stop Mr. Burns from stealing the oil from Springfield

Elementary. An intoxicated Smithers was seen brandishing a gun

on the night of the shooting

Motive:

The Principal of the Elementary School voted “Worst in

America” was about to strike it rich with the discovery of

oil under the school…until Mr. Burns stole the oil with

his “slanted” drilling operation

Motive:

When Mr. Burns stole the oil from Springfield

Elementary, the funds for Willy’s golden mop and

bucket disappeared. Was heard yelling “I’ll kill that

Mr. Burns and wound that Mr. Smithers”

In light of this new evidence we’ve brought in

the key suspects from our first investigation.

Their profiles are listed below.

Your Task: Analyze the blood evidence gathered at the scene and compare it to Mr. Burns and the four suspects in order to determine

the identity of Mr. Burns’ attacker.

Materials: Blood Samples (Victim, 4 Suspects and Crime Scene) Anti-serum A, Anti-serum B and Anti – Rh 6 blood typing trays Grease Pencil 18 toothpicks Mental Toughness

Procedure: 1. Label your 6 blood typing trays (Victim, Suspect 1, Suspect 2, Suspect 3, Suspect 4, Crime Scene)

2. Put 3 drops of the Victim’s Blood Sample into each well of the tray labelled “victim”

3. Put 3 drops of Anti – A into well A and stir with a clean toothpick

4. Put 3 drops of Anti – B into well B and stir with a clean toothpick

5. Put 3 drops of Anti – Rh into well Rh and stir with a clean toothpick

6. Record your results in the data table below
