Starting positionThe 2010 starting positions correspond to theteam’s 10MILA placing in 2009, for the 100 best juniorteams and the 150 best men’s and women’s teams.

MapThe map scale in all classes is 1:10 000 with contourinterval 5 meters. Offset printed map drawn 2009/2010by Kent-Åke Olsson.

Terrain descriptionTERRAIN TYPE: Forest with many marches, the areacomprises a network with roads and bigger paths.CLIMBING: The terrain is moderately hilly, in the wes-tern part many contour details.RUN ABILITY: Good run ability, some areas with notso good run ability is marked on the map. The vege-tation is mainly pine tree forest.

GPS-trackingGPS Tracking will be used on a number of legs in thewomen’s and men’s relays. Which legs it will be willbe announced in the competition-PM (final informa-tion) and at www.10mila.se.

The organizers will supply equipment for GPS Track-ing. The organizers decide which teams should carrytracking equipment no later than 1 hour before thestart of the given leg. For selected teams it is mandatoryto carry the GPS Tracking equipment.

Competition centreArena Grosvad, signposted from road 51 in Finspong.Distance from parking to competition centre is 400-2.000 meters, from unloading place and bus disem-barking spot ca 200 meters.

EntryEntries should reach the organizers by 28th February2010 at the latest, via www.10mila.se. That applies toteam entries, hiring SI-cards,accommodation (floor space), hiring military tents,and pitches for caravans, tents, and club tents. Entrieswill only be registered after all payments have reachedthe organizers. The total amount to pay is shown onwww.10mila.se at the time of entry.

Entry via www.10mila.se will be confirmed bye-mail, and can be checked in the entry register afterthe entry has reached the organizers. Late or non-pay-ment will lead to the entry being treated as a late entry.Entry on www.10mila.se is expected to open 25th Oc-tober 2009.

Late entryEntries and payments arriving after 28th February 2010and up to 15th April 2010 will be treated as late entries,and lead to 50 percent higher fees. Payments madeafter 15th April including at the competition centre on1st May lead to 100 percent higher fees.

There are a limited number of team entries that can bemade at the competition centre, at double normal fees.

Team compositionCombination teams, according to the Swedish Orien-teering Federations competition rules, are allowed. Thenames of the team members, running order, and num-bers of the SI-cards, must be reported viawww.10mila.se, by Wednesday 28th April at 20:00, atthe latest. After this time changes are done at the com-petition centre at the Arena. Note that an SI-card mayonly be used once during the 10MILA weekend. At thecompetition centre we have a service where we matchjuniors without a team with junior teams needing extrarunners.

It is allowed for a woman who has run in a junior teamto run in a women or men team. It is allowed for aman who has run in a junior team to run in a menteam. It is allowed for a woman who has run in awomen team to run in a men team.

Runners not representing a SOFT or other IOF asso-ciated club can run in a temporary team. Runnersrepresenting a SOFT or IOF associated club needpermission from there club for representing a tempo-rary team. An exemption paper needs also to be givento the organiser at the latest together with subscriptionof the runners names.

It is not allowed to run two times in one relay, this isalso valid for temporary teams. For runners who hasrun in the open relay it is not allowed to run in anyother relay.

Punching systemSportIdent, own SI-cards may be used. Note that it isnot possible to hire SI-cards for parts of a team. Sometype 6 SI-cards will be available for hire, subject toavailability. On legs 3 and 10 in men’s relay you mustuse SI-card type 6 or 9.

Radio 10MILARadio 10MILA will broadcast the speaker voice duringthe competition.

Camping and accommodationPitches for club tents at the competition centre may behired and will be reserved after registration and pay-ment received by the organizer. Sites for tents are avai-lable on the assembly area; use the area designated.Military tents can be rented, pre-pitched. Floor spacemay also be rented. Places must be booked and paid forin conjunction with competition entries. It will also bepossible to hire larger "party" tents and additionalequipment, at the competition centre. Information onthe above will appear at www.10mila.se.

RefreshmentsRestaurant, and a number of kiosks, will be found onthe competition area.
