MESSAGE
D ear Members , this will be our last general assembly of the
year. Shortly World Cup Soccer will
start in Brazil we will all be cheering for
the Azzurri.
This will be the theme of our June
dinner meeting let's have some fun.
At our last general assembly we held the
focus session, I would like to thank
everyone for participating and for your
opinions, this will help the next Board to
plan for the next session of CIBPA.
Results are attached to this newsletter.
This is a great organization if you
have been a member for a year or longer
please consider running for the Board,
we all bring great ideas to the table.
I would like to thank the current Board
of Directors for your support and
assistance in this past year.

GUEST SPEAKER
Sandra is well known as
the region’s most vocal
and tireless champion for
continuing prosperity and
opportunity. Sandra’s
drive, passion, enthusiasm
and knowledge of this
region ensures that Windsor-Essex can
be known as a solid and profitable
business investment worldwide. She is
recognized for her leadership in
business, politics and community
service.
Sandra was first elected to the
Ontario Legislature in 1995, was
appointed to Cabinet in 2003 and
certainly known for promoting the
Province of Ontario globally. During her
renowned political career she served as
Minister of Education, Minister of
Community and Social Services and
Minister Responsible for Women's
Issues.
Sandra spent most of her eight years
in Cabinet as the Minister of Industry
and Trade. Sandra has a proven track
record of building profitable
partnerships across multiple industries,
having managed multi-billion dollar
budgets and initiatives, driving growth
and leading organizational transfor-
mation. She has put her strategic
thinking to work with businesses
throughout the supply network of most
sectors, especially manufacturing,
financial services, information commu-
nication technology, life sciences,
aerospace, automotive and energy.
In June of 2011 Sandra left politics
to pursue a private sector career with
Price Waterhouse Coopers. She is the
Director of Business Development and
Global Markets for Price Waterhouse
Coopers and its clients with focus on
India, China, Brazil and the Middle
East.
Since June 1st. 2013, Sandra
Pupatello has also taken on the
responsibility of leading the
Windsor Essex Economic Development
Corporation. Sandra’s distinguished
career in the public sector-including
leading trade delegations in most major
markets globally - will help the
Windsor-Essex region to develop
relationships in markets that align to
their growth strategies.
In March 2014, the Province of
Ontario appointed Sandra the Chair of
the Board of Directors for Hydro One.

accepting nominations for the 2014-
2015 board. We encourage our Members
to get involved with the organization of
the Association. The Board can use
persons that are committed to doing
some work. If you want to have a say or
get involved in the way the organization
is operated, please put your name
forward. Nomination forms are available
from the Chair of the Nominating
Committee Mr. John Bonato. A
Nominator, nominee and endorsers will
be required to fill out a Board of
Governors Nomination Form. Forms are
required to be submitted to the Chair of
the Nominating Committee by the
conclusion of the Annual General
Meeting on June 3rd 2014 to Mr. John
Bonato.
