Zoom: -3 Finger Tap-Hide/Show controller-Can zoom: window, keyboard, follow focus while reading text

VoiceOver: -Control speaking rate, tone, etc.-Toggle on/off using triple click home button-”Alex” no available-Screen reader is different than “speak text” it is a way to access the iPad for someone totally blind-speak hints on/off: helpful versus proficient users with cognitive overload

Alternatives to using VoiceOver (remember a screenreader is promoting access to the entire device) to read

selected text or the window, Speech is a better AT solution • Speech is

general<accessibility and it will speak either selected text by holding your finger down or it will speak a window. • Change settings

inside general< accessibility

• Both options will pause

• Must close “speech” in window or it will continue to read in previous app]

• It will highlight content as it reads
