The IoT Platform Vendor Comparison includes companies that offer their own IoT Platform for the Enterprise/B2B market. It does not include B2Cfocused platforms for e.g., smart home or wearables (e.g., Samsung SmartThings), nor does it include connectivity software suppliers (e.g., CiscoJasper) or MVNOs. Prerequisite for a company to be included in the comparison is to have taken part in a survey sent to them by IoT Analytics.

To examine the most commonly used IoT Platforms based on six key customer decision criteria: Platform Building Blocks, Business and Pricing, Market Segmentation, Partner Ecosystems, Customers & Marketing and Key Differentiators

Research Objective

The information put together in this document was mainly collected through 16 surveys that were filled out by platform vendors. The informationprovided was enhanced with information from 25 interviews (45-60 mins) with: IoT Platform companies, members of open source IoT communities,system integrators and IoT Platform customers. Furthermore, IoT Analytics conducted extensive desktop research and screened 300+ relevantpresentations and websites. IoT Analytics compiled an own market model in the IoT Platforms Market Report, revenue estimations are based on thismarket model.
