Network administrators can integrate the IP Office into their Microsoft Lync network infrastructure to enhance existing communica-tion services.Administrators of Microsoft networks can provide unified communication services to clients utilizing their Avaya IP Office service provider.Avaya Microsoft Lync Integration is an add-in that seamlessly integrates with the Microsoft Lync Client look and feel to provide tele-phony capabilities.Previous releases of IP Office supported integration with Microsoft Lync 2010. IP Office now extends the Lync interoperability by including Microsoft Lync 2013.Note that support was made available originally with Service Pack 3 of Release 9.1The Avaya Lync Integration interacts with the Lync client directly using Microsoft Supported APIs. The Microsoft Lync Client Integra-tion 6.3.1.48 software was added to IP Office to support integration with the Microsoft Lync 2013.All telephony capabilities are integrated directly between Avaya Lync Integration, Avaya IP Office, and the Microsoft Lync 2013 client.

• In Addition to the 2010 integration, Avaya Microsoft Lync Integration 2013 is now available for 32 and 64bit platforms. As with the previous release the installation is simple with a single executable requiring no inputs during installation.

• Launch Lync Integration: – From the Windows Start menu by selecting All Programs > Avaya > Lync 2013 Integration > Lync Integration. – From the Microsoft Lync 2013 client, by selecting Tools > Avaya Microsoft Lync 2013 Integration.

You can start Lync Integration in two ways.The first way is Or, from the Windows Start menu by selecting All Programs > Avaya > Lync 2013 Integration >Lync Integration.From the Microsoft Lync 2013 client, by selecting Tools > Avaya Microsoft Lync 2013 Integration.Starting Lync Integration, adds the Avaya Lync Integration bar to the Lync Client which provides a centralized location to manage your integration and telephone line settings.The icons provided and the functionality contained within the Avaya Lyn Integration bar are the same as with the previous release.
