General Description IS-INCL3 is a 1D or 2D inclination sensor based on MEMS (Micro Electro Mechanical Systems) technology. The device senses tilt angles up to ±60 de-grees in the pitch and roll axis and 360 degrees in a sin-gle-axis measure. IS-INCL3 is compact and rugged. The metal anodized enclosure makes it robust to external shocks and vibra-tions, dust and harsh conditions. The MEMS signals are internally filtered by an analog second order low-pass filter with cut-off frequency of 20Hz (hardware filter) and an user programmable digital filter (moving aver-age). The two filters produce an enhanced noise rejec-tion, increasing the measure stability. The output interface is CAN-OPEN certified, fully com-pliant with DS 301 DSP 410. IS-INCL3 is programmable via CAN frames without additional tools. IS-INCL3-A000-M is highly accurate (+/-0.05°) and can be set in the preferred mode of measurement (1 or 2 ax-es). IS-INCL3-1360-M and IS-INCL3-2060-M are re-spectively 1-axis and 2-axes inclinometers with medium accuracy (+/-0.2°). Single channel or redundant versions are available. IS-INCL3 is guaranteed in the full industrial tempera-ture range [-40;+85]°C. A compensation in the tempera-ture range is available in order to reduce the thermal drift by a factor of 4. Such compensation is available for IS-INCL3-A000 and it is suggested whenever a higher total accuracy is required (e.g. concentrated solar power).

General Description IS-INCL4 is a 1D or 2D inclination sensor based on MEMS (Micro Electro Mechanical Systems) technology. The device senses tilt angles up to ±60 de-grees in the pitch and roll axis and 360 degrees in a mono-axis measure. Output signal is 4-20mA. IS-INCL4 is suitable for many applications, it is com-pact and rugged: the metal enclosure and internal resin protect electronic parts and connections against mechan-ical shocks, vibrations, thermal shocks, humidity and other external agents. An input protection circuit makes the inclinometer highly robust to external electrical dis-turbances, due to switching processes and transients gen-erated for example in an automotive environment or in an industrial environment. MEMS signals are internally filtered using an analog low-pass filter, with a cut-off frequency of 50Hz, and again using a second moving av-erage software filter. IS-INCL4 is guaranteed in the full industrial tempera-ture range [-40;+85]°C. MTTF is greater than 100 years, in order to have high reliability. The 1/2 meter output lead cable can be customized with a male M12 connector on request (only for non redundant devices).
