know about the benefits of iSky Panel Systems.

To help you become a certified star ceiling expert, this guide includes:

• iSky Dictionary

• Sales Sheet information on iSky Panel benefits

• Specifications on iSky Panel System components

• How to Estimate Your Job

• How to Install iSky Panels an overview

• Ideas on Designing with flexible iSky solutions

Before we jump into all the “how to” material, we’ll start your iSky Guided Tour with a quick

overview of the benefits of iSky Panel Systems.

First, our system is LED driven, and comes with our patent-pending Star Engine. The advan-

tages?

• A low voltage light source for low power consumption and little heat

• All digital, solid state driver that’s very efficient, with no moving parts,

and high vibration capacity

• Lighting that has ultra long life and no uv/ir radiation

Second, our specifications are designed for easy installation and efficient and accurate

job estimation.

Above all, our systems are high-quality – in acoustic materials, construction, technology,

and overall design.

That’s why experts pick iSky Panel Systems. And you look like an expert to us. So, enjoy

the guide. And call or email us with any questions or suggestions.

Listed below are all the terms you’d ever need to know about iSky Panel Systems. If you still

have questions, just shoot us a note – our dictionary is always growing.

iSky Dictionary

Acoustic Panel: Panel that absorbs sound in order

to control and enhance acoustic quality in an

environment.

Banners: Wall configuration of Surface Mount panels

placed one on top of the other from floor to ceiling.

Beveled Edge: 45-degree edge on a wrapped fabric

panel, standard on all Surface Mount panels. Easier

panel alignment and a softer look than the square

edge option.

Coffered: Ceiling configuration of Surface Mount

panels in the traditional look of ceiling beams,

either inserted between the beams or on their own.

Additional uRay lighting can be added around all four

edges to create depth.

Diamond: Wall mounted configuration of Surface

Mount panels in which square panels are quarter

turned.

Drop-In: Ceiling panel, usually in 24” x 24”

dimension, that drops into a “T” bar ceiling grid.

Driver: Electrical device that transforms line voltage

to low voltage for powering L.E.D. lighting.

Embedded Driver: Driver that rests in a cut out area

in Surface Mount panels because line voltage is

already located in the ceiling and running new low

voltage wire is not an option (also see “Remote

Driver”)

Hanging Cloud: Ceiling configuration of Surface

Mount panels that are continuous but not wall-to-

wall, and hung on chains from above.

Jumper Cable: Low voltage wire that daisy chains

power from one panel to the next.

L.E.D : Light Emitting Diode that illuminates by

transforming electrons to photons (electricity to light)

for ultra-long life, thus more cost-effective than a

traditional filament lamp.

Leader Cable: Low voltage wiring that supplies

power from the Driver to the panels.

Mounting Anchor: Auger device used to fasten

acoustic panels to a surface.

Remote Driver: Driver located away from the ceiling,

remotely, in an equipment area, for example

Skylight: Ceiling configuration of panels using two

or more panel fields that mimic the look of skylight

windows

Star Engine: Low voltage, all digital light source that

produces realistic sparkling starlight.

Star Field: Ceiling configuration of panels laid out

continuously, but not wall to wall.

Star Window: Wall configuration of Surface Mount

panels mounted to mimic the look of open windows.

Surface Mount: iSky’s unique acoustical star panel

that mounts directly to a finished drywall ceiling or

wall.

uRay Lighting: 12v DC L.E.D. lineal lighting in “tape

strip form” for easy application of edge lighting

around iSky Surface Mount panels. Available in blue,

amber, and red colors.

Wall to Wall Star Field: Ceiling configuration of

panels laid out wall to wall continuously.

Big Bang Effects Without Big Banging

iSky star ceilings are easy to install. No more banging nails or forcing fiber through dry wall.

Our plug-and-play Panel Systems make estimation easy as well, bringing high-end star ceilings within reach for home theaters and other environments.

With premium acoustic materials and our exclusive LED technology, iSky offers the best quality for the best value. And as a result of the patent-pending Star Engine, our lighting effects mimic the random glimmer of the night sky unlike any system on the market.

The creators of iSky Panel Systems, Fiberoptic Studio Corp., have been designing custom fiber-optics and premium LED lighting solutions for clients like Motorola, McDonald’s and General Mo-tors for over 20 years. So they know what works best for consumers and installers.

Of course, any of our panels can be cut to a specific size or configuration. And with

the option of adding uRay Strips to create a glow of light from the edges of iSky Surface

Mount panels, you can fit any room with a dramatic effect. Simply allow 2 inches or

more of exposed ceiling/wall for uRay Strips (*See Illustration on this worksheet)

No matter what configuration you design, each panel is made of high quality materials

that will absorb the sound and light refraction in any environment. iSky panels have

taken the hard work out of installation so that you can put your effort into fine-tuning

the look and sound of your room.
