Abdul Al Rahman III (912 – 961) proclaimed the Caliphate of Cordoba
1991 Ibn Hazm (994 – 1064). A polymath and theologian who lived in Cordoba 1986 Al Zargali (1029 – 1087), was born in Granada and moved to Cordoba in his later years, where he developed the SaphaeaAstrolabe Saphaea Astrolabe used by navigators into the C16th 1986
