About the Community... Island Trees is a welcoming community with a true hometown feel. A small school atmosphere, individual attention, and community support are just some of the benefits of receiving an education in Island Trees. The school district is located in suburban Nassau County, a short com- mute to New York City, and minutes away from the white-sand Long Island beaches, Nassau Coliseum concert and sports venue, and world-renowned Beth- page State Park public golf course. The district is comprised of two elementary schools (K-1 & 2-4), one middle school (5- 8) and one high school (9-12). Each school feeds directly into the other. As such, when students start in the district, they all move through Kindergarten to 12 th grade together. With a total school district en- rollment of 2,300 students and 300 dedi- cated professional and support staff, chil- dren are given the individual attention they need in order to succeed. Island Trees graduates 95% of their students year after year. Island Trees School District… small town America in Nassau County.
