Founded in 681, Bulgaria is one of the oldest states in Europe located in the heart of the Balkans, Bulgaria offers great diversity of landscapes.

It has 7.6 million of inhabitants.

Culture

The country has a long musical tradition, dating back to the early Middle Ages. Yoan Kukuzel (c. 1280-1360) became one of the first celebrity composers of medieval Europe.

It is one of the Eastern Orthodox cathedrals in Sofia and has suffered frequent damage to the passing of the centuries, having been destroyed several times to be rebuilt again later. In 1925 it was destroyed by

a bomb which killed 128 people.
