3 Flexural Behaviour of Duct

Record load at 20 mm deflection & 2 minutes after 20 mm deflection as well as instantaneous deflection after removing load and residual deflection after 2 minutes of removing load.



# 4 * Flexibility of Duct

Deformation preferably ≤ 5% of duct diameter, determined by passing a plunger through the duct at specified minimum bending radius. Internal Duct diameter < 85mm : r = 1800mm Internal Duct diameter > 85mm : r = 2800mm



5 Lateral Load Resistance

of Duct Deformation ≤ 10% or 5mm whichever is lesser after 2 minutes of unloading.


Manufacturer 3 Samples upto 7000 RM.

6 * Longitudinal Load

Resistance

Duct should sustain specified load for 10 minute.



7 * Leak Tightness of

duct system

No visually detectable loss of water during the test period of 5 minutes at Inside pressure of 0.5 bar.



* For conformity of these tests, only butt welded joint or joint with heat shrink sleeves is prescribed.

C System Approval Test

1 Wear Resistance Of Duct Needs to be conducted only once for the project. At times tests conducted for the same

department in the last one year should be accepted and not to be conducted again

2 Bond Behavior of Tendon Should be conducted once for the project and report submitted to the department prior to commencement of supplies. At times tests conducted for the same department in the last one

year should be accepted and not to be conducted again 3 Coefficient of Friction
