Nurse Therapists are available every morning to assess young people admitted to DGH receiving wards. Intervention work is carried out by ASH between the hours of 9.30am to 5.30pm, Monday – Friday (excluding Bank Holidays). Referrals are accepted from A&E Departments, District General Hospitalsand Community Mental Health Teams.

Skye HouseLewis,HarrisandMullWings- Skye House provides inpatient treatment for young people with conditions like severe depression, eating disorders, psychosis and obsessive-compulsive disorders.- In addition to all the bedrooms at Skye House being en-suite, there is a purpose-built gym, fully equipped classrooms, landscaped gardens and overnight accommodation for visiting families. - Skye House has been specially designed and purpose-built to meet young people’s needs and leading to substantial improvements in their care and treatment. The planning of the unit also benefited from the fact that the young people themselves contributed significantly to the planning process.- While young people are in Skye House, they will go to school, therapy groups, family sessions and individual sessions. Young people will also have time to do things that they want to do.- Every week, young people will get a timetable for the next week.
