It’s raining jobs this June!Prepare for the all-out Jobs Surge of the Year.JobStreet.com
The rainy season has finally begun! But aside from the usual rains, expect career opportunities to
start pouring in this month as Philippine’s No. 1 job site brings the job surge of 2012!
“As of press time (June 4), we have hit our record high, if not one of our record highs of over 80,000 jobs
available in our website,” exclaims Carolyn Enriquez, senior marketing manager of JobStreet.com, who
further explains that companies have started posting jobs heavily this month.
A survey of the job listing shows that jobs in engineering (17%), customer care service (14%) sales
and marketing specializations (11%) top the long list of job openings at the site. These are followed by
those which require skills in general works and maintenance services, manufacturing, computer and
information technology, building and construction, administrative and human resources and hotel
and restaurant .
“If the numbers continue to increase, our jobseekers signed up with JobStreet.com can look forward to
bigger and better chances of getting the job of their dreams soon. All they have to do is just log on at
JobStreet.com and apply to the thousands of jobs online,” adds Enriquez who also mentioned that the job
site is used and trusted by 4.4 million Filipinos, the largest jobseeker database for any job site in the
country.
The company also noted that there is an influx of jobs
for the youth segment—almost 80% of the total jobs
posted.

Aside from the employer-companies, jobseekers can also visit job assistance booths set up by concerned
government agencies such as the Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA) and
Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA)—making the event a one-stop shop for
jobseeker services.
Jobgantic Career Fair emerged as the biggest job fair in Philippine history last year. This JobStreet.com-
organized job fair was able to gather over 220 exhibitors under one roof, with a online pre-registrant count
of almost 65,000 jobseekers and over 20,000 actual-day applicants who queued up to take their ultimate
chance for a big leap in their career. This year, the event aims to welcome over 100,000 online and walk-
in jobseekers all ready to grab their next big career break.
