Host Family ArrangementLiving with a host family is a great way to experience American culture while improving your English ability in a friendly environment. With your host family, you’ll learn about American daily life, practice English on a regular basis and participate in many aspects of American culture that visitors or boarding school students often don’t get to see and experience.
Ivy BridIvy Bridge’s host families are carefully chosen from safe and attractive neighborhoods near the international students’ schools. Our consultants will match our incoming students with the best possible family. Our staff visits and interviews each family and insures that the family provides a clean, and loving home for students.
MaMany of our families have hosted for years and have welcomed students from many countries. They understand the special needs of international students and our Ivy Bridge staff is available for your assistance if questions arise during the student’s stay. For the best match with your new host family, we strongly recommend that you complete our host family request form as a part of your application process.
Meals, rooms, and transportationIvy BridIvy Bridge’s host families provide two meals a day (self-packed) and snacks for our students along with a spacious bedroom. All necessary transportation to school, school activities, and program events will also be provided for your son or daughter. We require all our host families to provide reliable internet service so our international students can easily surf online for either school or to communicate with friends and family back home. Your son or daughter’s needs will be fully met so that they can have a worry free experience while living with one of our certified host families.
Students’ American Life SupportWWe are dedicated and committed to ensuring every one of our international students has a pleasant and happy experience. We are here to assist every student in maintaining an academically-focused, productive and healthy lifestyle.

St. Paul’s Statement of Philosophy:
“...the St. Paul community requires conformity,
neatness, punctuality, and politeness. We believe
that students are best served by a curriculum that
emphasizes traditional core content, while provid-
ing opportunities for enrichment.
At St. Paul, even the most traditional of subjects are
better communicated to students through the use of
modern methodologies and high tech instructional
aids. Students learn to appreciate learning through
the efforts of enthusiastic teachers who love their
subjects and who challenge their students to think
and work independently.
WWe believe that adolescents need experiences and
skills in intellectual, creative, physical, and service
activities so that they develop a lifelong commit-

About the Fine Arts / Music Program: St. Joseph High School believes that every student is entitled to a well-rounded education that includes exposure to the arts. This exposure includes courses in art, music, theatre and interdisciplinary courses.
Upon Upon completion of the program, all students should possess a basic understanding and apprecia-tion of the arts in their world, and how the arts relate to society. A firm foundation in the arts develops cognitive, analytical, problem solving and task com-pletion skills. In addition, the arts allow students to develop self-expression using visual, aural, and performance mediums.
St. Joseph believes that students who have the opportunity to express themselves through the arts are more able to use the arts as a means to solve problems and increase acceptance of cultural differ-ences
