ENTRY FORM KINGSTON - NEGRIL RIDE Saturday 17th, October, 2009 Post all queries to [email protected] The Event: The Negril Ride, was conceptualized and first accomplished by 3 pioneering road cyclists, Dr. Franklyn Bennett, Paul Andrew Goldson and Tim Byam, in 1992. It was initially envisioned as a challenge for the “amateur” cyclist to test himself after a full year of training. It was a daunting task, but the challenge soon got the attention of the cycling public and in no time, the ride was established as an annual event on the cycling calendar. The nature of the ride has also evolved into a social event to mark the start of the Heroes weekend, and has attracted both recreational and professional cyclists locally and overseas. This year Jamaica By Bike will use this event to raise funds for its charities, Sir John Golding Foundation and UHWI ICU. Route: The ride will commence at the NCB Atrium parking lot at 4:30am and transverse the south coast via Mandeville to Negril. There will be six stops along the route, indicated on the map below. Registration: Fee is $3000, along with sponsorship sheet . Registration closes on the 7th Oct. Late registration Oct. 8th - 14 Oct. fee $4000. Return transportation provided please check box if required. Return transportation. On another note: The 2009 Kingston – Negril Ride is organized to promote healthy lifestyle, fitness and teamwork while raising money for worthy charities. The primary objective is to have fun. Everyone is a winner for starting the ride. Disclaimer: I know that participating in this ride is potentially hazardous. I will not enter unless I am medically able and properly trained. I agree to abide by any decision of a race official relative to my ability to safely complete the event, including but not limited to falls, contact with other participants, the effect of weather including high heat and/or humidity, the conditions of the road and traffic on the course. All of these risks are known and appreciated by me. Having read this waiver and knowing these facts and in consideration of your acceptance of my entry, I, for myself, and anyone acting on my behalf, waive, release and hold harmless Jamaica By Bike Limited and related entities, the Jamaica Cycling Federation, the beneficiary charities and all suppliers, all sponsors, all the aforementioned parties, respective directors, officers, employees, agents, assigns, representa- tives and successors and any individual or group associated therewith, from and against all claims, damages, liabilities, cost and expenses of any kind including reasonable attorney’s fees arising out of my participation in this event even though that liability may arise out my negligence or carelessness, and/or the negligence or carelessness of any individual or organization named in this waiver. I grant to all of the foregoing to use any photographs, motion pictures, recordings, verbal or written statements, or any other record of this event for any legitimate purpose. I am of legal age, having read this release, fully understand it and freely agree to all of its terms.
