    EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

Negril International Hospital (NIH) recognizes the significance of developing a biomedical cluster in Negril, Jamaica

particularly in regards to quality health care of both visitors and residents. Other important considerations worth

mentioning are the advancement of health and medical sciences through education and research, and potential

commerce-related opportunities inherent in the biomedical field. Furthermore, the Medical City concept is vital to

    the diversification of Jamaicas economy.

The following summary includes a proposal with standard recommendations for a hospital wing to be built on the NIH

Campus located in the Negril Medical City, Jamaica West Indies. This document also includes a diagram of same alongwith photographs of the Medical City presently being constructed in Lake Nona, Florida (the Greater Orlando, Florida

area). The scale is larger. However, the concept is equivalent to NIHs goal with respect to innovation and

    sustainability.
