Pride and Joy Competition Background: Concours events were held in our club up to 2013, 5 years ago. Since that time they have been available in the Southern States Display Days and National Rallies. One third of our membership has joined in the past 2 years. Present: Your JDCQ committee thought that many new members may be interested in showing their cars and possibly entering a Concours event at a National Rally. As a stepping stone we decided to offer this year a Pride & Joy Competition which would ease members into detailing their cars to a higher standard by judging (less harshly than Concours) the exterior, interior and engine bay. To assist the 3 judges are prepared to provide a Saturday afternoon session - 'Guidance on Detailing Your Pride & Joy' prior to Display Day. Confirm your session when nominating your car on the Entry Form for the Pride & Joy Competition on page 6. Future: It would be great to see a number of Queensland cars enter the Concours event at next years 50th Jaguar National Rally, organised by JCCV which will be held in Albury Wodonga March 29 - April 1, 2019

7.00 am Set-up of JDCQ Marquee and Ground Parking Plan co-ordinated by Jim Bowden (volunteers please contact Jim on 0412 991 747 or email: [email protected]).

10.00 am Welcome to New & Current Members at JDCQ Marquee - meet our Patron Ron Gaudion, our Aussie Legend of Jaguar and Ecurie Ecosse fame of the 1950's Le Mans Races. New & Current Members wanting to attend please contact Jim Bowden on 0412991747 / email: [email protected]
