Established in 2006 by Director Andrew Ward, james & WARD Ltd have become one of the UK's leading Architectural Building Information Modelling (BIM) Consultants within the Retail and Commercial sectors. James & Ward Ltd offer a broad scope of architectural expertise from Master-Planning to Project Completion, using a unique combination of specialist skills and the technology required for the design of commercial, residential and retail projects. James & Ward are at the cutting edge of 3D design in their extensive use of the industry recognised Building Information Modelling (BIM) System. As a company we strive to grow with our Clients and the environment we work within, adapting to the changes in energy efficiency, lower costs and reduced waste. Retail and Commercial

Retail Design With a broad range of retail project experience and being the first UK Architectural Consultancy to design and build not only the first, but also the second 30,000sqft retail supermarket through utilisation of BIM technologies, the team posses the skills required to produce first hand feasibility studies, as well as the implementation of existing concepts. The Retail Team has had great success with planning applications and has acted as lead consultant on a number of new build superstores.

Code for Sustainable Homes

In a continued attempt to expand and enhance our services to our clients, james & WARD have recently added a new service to our portfolio. We can now offer CSH assessments independently or as part of a multi-disciplinary service, where, the CSH assessment is undertaken independent of the Design Team. With the added benefit of experienced Architecturally trained CSH assessors, james & WARD can offer a bespoke support service tailored to suit the specific needs of individual clients, whether tackling the Code for the first time, or looking for ways to achieve higher levels. CSH is the national standard for the sustainable design and construction of new homes, mandatory in England since May 2008 for all new developments. Code Level 3 has been a minimum requirement since 2007 for Social/Affordable Housing developments. Increasingly, this has become a planning condition on private sector developments.

Digital Surveying

James & WARD have the added capability to scan and provide the best quality and highly accurate 3D digital measurements of buildings, landscapes and complex structures. This enables us to create "as built" CAD models and animations. We are able to scan, in photo realistic colour, any 3D shape - straight, square, angled or arching, both indoors and outdoors. 3D laser scanning technology can be applied at any point in the cycle, saving time, money and material being much more time effective than the traditional measurement process. The benefits of 3D laser scanning: • Enables quick turn around of data from site work through to data delivery • Avoids site revisits for missed or doubtful data • Provides the ability to access sites that may no longer exist in reality • Produces high quality images, animations and visualisations • Involves a fast turnaround where access time is restricted • Creates accurate documentation • Improves Cost Control and Budgeting on Projects
