Cable Bridge Run VolunteerPasco Recreation is looking for volunteers for the 35th annual Lampson Cable Bridge Run! The race will be held on Saturday,

December 21, 2013, at 9 am. We need volunteers from approximately 7:15-11 am to direct runners on the course. American Red Cross Lifeguarding course will help you develop skills and experience that will be valued by colleges and future employers. It’s a great way to demonstrate what you can offer. Colleges and employers look for applicants who can deal effec-tively with people, who have a take charge attitude, and who are willing to work to develop new skills. Upon successful comple-tion of this course, you will be certified in Lifeguarding, First Aid, and CPR/AED for Lifeguards. Please note that passing of the LGT course does not guarantee employment. A required orga-nizational meeting for all team captains will be held on February 26, 2014 at 6:30 pm in the Pasco Recreation Services classroom located at 525 N. 3rd Ave. We will determine the number of games, fee, league rules and start date at this meeting. Upper Division will play on Wednesday Nights and Lower Division will play Thursday nights. Adopt-a-ParkThe Adopt-a-Park program provides opportunities for individuals and groups to help improve and maintain the City of Pasco's parks and trails system. The program's mission is to enhance community involvement, pride, and ownership through the general care, main-tenance, and beautification of Pasco's parks and trails.All you need to do is complete an Adopt-a-Park Application. You will then be contacted by a City of Pasco representative. If you can't make a long-term commitment, we still encourage you to volunteer! Contact us at 509-543-5757.
