Dear Parishioners, I am incredibly grateful for the amazing team of people who did such a fantastic job on our church and patio Christmas decorations. It is uplifting, beautiful and Instagram-worthy big time. I emailed and texted photos to a number of people. I am very proud of our beautiful church. People give me credit for it all the time. I share, truthfully, that I simply just show up. It’s a great Environment team and the seminarians helped out in the effort. At this time, I would like to thank Environment Team members Deacon Ron and Patti Baker, Mark Geraci, Ruben Salcedo, Linda Policarpio along with our seminarians Deacon Matthew Miguel, Johndy Gonzalez and Peter Niezgoda, THANK YOU!! It’s a new year with new beginnings and changes to some of our Masses. Thank you for your patience. We are trying to meet the needs of all of our people of varying viewpoints on the whole Covid protection protocol. That’s why we are simply offering 4 different options, depending on your comfort level: Livestream, outdoor, indoor and drive-in in the parking lot. The times of each type of Mass are listed in this bulletin and are also available on our parish website, hfglendale.org !!

Please note that outdoor seating with speakers is available for those not comfortable inside the church. For indoor Masses all windows and doors will be open. We will take advantage of the safety of our high ceilings as well. Our church has a seating capacity of 900. We will allow no more than 225 people (25% of our capacity) at a time. Our normal attendance during these Covid times has never gone over 190 for any mass. So, with the windows and doors open and plenty of spacing and other safeguards, we think we are providing a very safe option inside the church.

Thank you for your understanding as we strive to SAFELY meet the spiritual needs of all of our people. Many thanks to our volunteers who help with all our Masses. They are devoted, flexible and focused on the health of our parishioners. Special shout out to Maddie Santos, our youth ministry assistant, who heads up our volunteer process. Maddie is a graduate of both of our schools. She goes above and beyond in making sure there is constant communication with the volunteers, making weekly schedules, and ensuring that our safety processes are being followed. She is one person who knows how to give without counting the cost. We appreciate Maddie’s dedication! We are so grateful to have her on our staff. Way to go, Saint Maddie!! Covid free blessings as we continue in the new year - Fr. Jim Bevacqua, Pastor 818-247-2222 x225 [email protected]

—Rev. James Field, Copyright © J. S.
