There is a $50.00/hour fee, with a two hour minimum for early or late service. Whether it is a quick turn, rental car, overnight hangar or all of the above, call us at 717- 792-5566 to pre-arrange dependable after hours service. --------------------------------- Night Approach Update As reported last month, bids have been received for the clearing project necessary to re-establish our night approach to Runway 35 and they are within budget. We are currently waiting on the FAA to complete their airspacing study for the work. Initially the FAA was under the impression (through a miscommunication) that all work was to be done on airport property, eliminating the necessity for an airspace review. Later, however, they discovered the off-airport property work and required an airspace study. The process is being expedited and we hope to begin the work by the end of January and have it completed by the end of March. Runway Ice... Check NOTAM's! We would like to take the opportunity to remind all pilots that even after the snow has fallen and been removed, there is always a chance that icy patches could remain on the runway for an extended period (especially given the recent Arctic temperatures). We will issue NOTAM's daily to update runway conditions if slick spots remain and braking action is poor. The latest NOTAM information can be found at www.notams.faa.gov. Kitty Hawk Restaurant Update The Kitty Hawk Restaurant closed on December 31, 2013 and there are no current plans to re-open the restaurant. The main dining area will be turned into a passenger waiting area/lounge and the small dining area will be converted to a pilot lounge. Coffee and vending machine service will be available in the former main dining area. Air Race Classic 2014 Flying Through KTHV

Narco 122 NAV Unit

Narco 122 NAV - $950This is a complete ILS unit that fits in a standard 3 ¼ inch hole. I purchased thisunit on Ebay about 4 years ago for my aircraft but, because of health issues, never installed it. Last fall the unit was checked out on the bench by Ben Travisat Smart Avionics at Deck Airport. The reason for the low price is the nav flag isinoperable. All nav frequencies are selectable and operable as well as all localizer and GSfrequencies. The localizer, glide slope and marker beacons all worked perfectly. There is a very slight rough spot when selecting the frequency but all frequenciesare easily selectable. The CDI needle is responsive and accurate and when anILS frequency is selected the localizer needle and GS needle are precise. This willmake a great and economical primary or backup ILS unit where panel space islimited. It comes with a connector.
