Dear Brothers and Sisters; We start the New Year with a great party, but we don't stop there! January has a terrific line-up of bands playing in the Social Room, and January 21st we kick off our annual Comedy Night series. We will be having a big fund-raiser to SAVE THE CATWALK on January 28th; beers and wines to sample, silent auction and raffle (BUY TICKETS!), kids' activities and we will be open
to the public. See page 3 of the newsletter for more info. Please, we hope to see our mem-bers kick in with this project. Mark your calendars for February 5th, when we'll gather for our annual Super Bowl Party for our members. Bring a dish to pass and watch the Big Game on our big screen! As we ring in this New Year 2017, we want to remind our members that we are in a membership drive so please try to sign up at least one new member to keep our Aerie strong. I would like to personally thank our members who have volunteered this last year. We would not be able to do all that we do without our volunteers! Their support and commitment contribute to making this club such a success! REMINDER: We now have forms for use in the Social Room regarding guidelines for parties, food use and events (see a trustee or bartend-er). Thank you so very much! Thank you- David L Fritz, Jr.
Dear Brothers,
Welcome new, re-enrolled and transferred Brothers: Doug Bailey, Roger Belter, James Curry, Kurt Freund, Jayson Gardner, David Givscud, Craig Kendall, Paul Kujawski, Frank Natschke, Jurgen Runschke, David Tebeau, James Ampulski, Kirk Craymer, Mark Smoes and Adam Williams.
Upcoming Events: The Social Room will be closed New Year’s Day, Euchre at 1 pm January 7th, January 21st Comedy Night - doors open at 7 pm; January 28th Cat Walk Fundraiser Beer and Wine Tasting. Open to the public all day.
Reminder: Starting in 2017, all dues will come due on May 31st. To avoid delay with over 1,700 members wanting a new card all at once, consider paying as early you can or paying for more than one year at a time. We really appreciate any help you can give with this. When signing up new members, please check back with them to be sure they received notification to be initiated and that they did attend or if someone can’t make the Monday initiation meeting, call the club at (616) 842-4330. Some applicants never get initiated and are dropped after 90 days, forfeiting any money they paid.
The Aerie officers wish everyone a prosperous new year.
Sincerely, Glenn Kade, Worthy Secretary

EaglE RidERs’
Hello Riders, Ok, winter has arrived! Plenty of white stuff already. In addition to helping out a family in need this past Christmas, we also made a donation of hats, scarves, mittens and miscellaneous items to St. John’s Episcopal Church’s Loving Spoonfuls program. We would like to thank Jan Sickterman for his donation again this past year for our Christmas family. With the new year, as we all walk past our bikes everyday, let’s turn our thoughts to some new and exciting ways we can help others while doing what we love to do...ride! If you have a specific ride or event in mind already, bring it to meeting, which is on Sunday, January 8th at 2pm. Here’s a thought for the month… a quote by Rainer Maria Rilke, “And now we welcome the new year. Full of things that have never been.” Be safe! Tami Riemersma Eagle Rider Secretary
