Registraon for new French Immersion Grade 1 students for September 2020 runs from

Grade 1 News

In Grade 1 we have been learning

all about winter weather and winter

clothing items in French. We are

ge@ng really good at being able to talk

about what all the different clothing items are in

French, as well as write French sentences about

what winter clothes we wear for specific types of

weather.

Grade 2 News

Grade 2s are working on a tough new math

challenge—borrowing and regrouping to solve

double digit addion and subtracon problems!

We will also be visited by a

professional arst this month

who will teach us to paint or

sculpt our very own masterpieces!

Grade 3 News

The Grade 3s are working on mastering their

mulplicaon and division facts!

Grade 4 News

In Math, the Grade 4s are working on comparing

and contrasng 2D shapes and exploring lines of

symmetry. They are also excited to start learning

how to play the recorder in Music class!

Grade 5 News

This month in Grade 5 we

are focusing on measuring

perimeter and surface area. We are learning to

write formal and friendly le3ers in French. Mme

Corriveau’s class will be remaking a cereal box with

a focus on nutrion and media influences.

Grade 6 News

In Grade 6, students learned about Youth and the

Law during their most recent VIP lesson.

SK News

Our kindergarten friends are ge@ng back into rounes and reacquainng with their classmates aIer our

break. We are learning about proper handwashing techniques with the help of the

“gli3erbug machine”.
