Resurgence in net absorption boosts medical office activity Columbus • Medical office vacancy rates in Columbus have been steadily decreasing, while there has been a resurgence in net absorption as Columbus experiences its second highest net absorption in square feet since 2012. After two years of low net absorption, the medical office activity in Columbus responded with new buildings such as Mount Carmel’s Lewis Center project increasing the occupied space in the market and bringing some new available space as well.
