Twill A Rose EmbroideryStitch a full blown rose and leaves using an easy-to-do twilling stitch that resembles a string of small beads. The 7 ½” x 8 ½” design may be used for a quilt block, pillow, picture, etc. An additional small design and a small simulated wood flexible hoop is an added bonus included in the materials. Tatting with a NeedleThe first class introduces a delicate lace edging made with a long, straight needle, Perle #5 cotton thread and a simple “stitch.” No previous embroidery experience is required In the second session we explore tatting with a ball of thread instead of lengths of thread. The use of a ball of thread allows continuous tatting and more designs. A small simulated wood flexible hoop is provided as well as additional patterns for medallions, “crittters,” creative scenes, etc. is included in a class handout. The first session is a pre-requisite for the second class. A complete tatting kit (except for scissors) is available at the first class for $25, payable to the instructor.
