Youth ServicesStorytime

Tuesday - 9:45 AM Toddler Time StoryTimeThis storytime includes stories, fingerplays, songs, and sensory play perfect for toddlers! For children 18 months to 3 years.

Tuesday - 10:30 AM Family Fun StoryTimeStorytime fun for the whole fami-ly! Enjoy stories, songs, crafts, and more. This storytime is intended for children and babies of all ages and their caregivers.

Wednesday - 9:15 AM Book Babies StoryTimeA lapsit storytime perfect for babies 0 to 18 months. Enjoy very short stories interspersed with songs, rhymes, and fingerplays for ba-bies and parents. A brief playtime follows.

Wednesday - 10:00 AM Preschool StoryTimeEnjoy songs, stories, crafts, and more! For children ages 3 and older that are ready to listen to stories without their caregivers.

Take Home Craft:Yarn Wrapped Mummies

DPL Code Club Friday, October 13, 4:00 PMCome to the library and learn how to code! This self-paced program is meant for ages 8 and older. We will meet the second Friday every month. If you want to learn how to build a website, app, or game, this is a great place to start!

Tots & Tunes: Monster Mash Monday, October 16, 10:00 AMCome for our monster themed Tots & Tunes dance party! Put on your scar-iest face (and maybe a costume too!) and get ready to dance to some ghoul-ish tunes. This program is intended for children 3 years old and younger.

Preschool PicassoThursday, October 19, 10:00 AMBring your budding artist to learn about a new artist every month. Watch your child create their next great masterpiece! Featured artist: Vincent Van Gogh

Messy Craft: Pumpkin ExtravaganzaFriday, October 20, All DayJoin us for a special, all day messy craft! Whether you want to paint, carve, or glue - you bring the pumpkin and we’ll provide the rest.

Fall FestivalTuesday, October 24, 5:30 PMCome on in for a night of Halloween delight! Join in a variety of Halloween activities put on by our Teen Advisory Board. TAB is made up of high school students who volunteer their time to plan events at the library and organize community service projects.

Totally Untidy ToddlersFriday, October 27, 10:00 AMIt’s time for a totally messy toddler friendly program! Come dressed for a mess and experience a new way to play.

YA CORNER

Teen Advisory Board MeetingThursday, October 6, 6:00 PMJoin TAB and talk about what YOU would like to do at the library. Get involved putting on programs, organizing service projects, talking about books, meeting study friends, and of course, eating lots of snacks!

TAB Lock-InSaturday, October 21, 4:00-10:00 PMCome in for an evening of food and fun as we get ready for our Fall Festival. This event is open to the current members of our Teen Advisory Board.

VolunteensSaturday, October 21, All DayDo you need service hours? Here is your chance to get them! The library will host an all day volunteer event on the third Saturday of every month for our teenage patrons. Come for as little or as long as you like, and help use get ready for the next month while you rack up some needed service hours.

Book to Movie ClubThursday, October 19, 3:00 PMBe a part of our quarterly book club where you have the chance to tell us everything you love and hate about that book to movie conversion! Bring a snack for the movie showing after our discussion. October movie & book: A Monster Calls by Patrick Ness.
