Heavenly Father, We know that you have planned for us more than we can ask, or even imagine. Quiet our

fears and help us with any concerns we may have about this campaign, that we may know and

experience the abundant life that our Savior Jesus Christ calls us to. Be with us as we make the

commitments of sacrifice and effort which will lead us into paths you have placed before us to walk. Continue

to fill our St. Anastasia community, parishioners, friends and visitors with cheerful hearts as we respond

to the opportunity you have set before us. May our Joint Campaign provide the best parish ministries and school opportunities to our families, children, seniors,

the poor and all those associated with our faith community. Jesus, as we believe in the Power of your

Holy Name, may we receive your most abundant blessings and grace. Mary, Queen of Apostles,

pray for our parish family. Amen .

Prayer for the Protection of Storms

God our Father, creator of the Universe and Lord over all creation, we humbly stand before you as

your children in thanksgiving for your loving care and protection. We ask that you keep us safe from all hurricanes which may threaten us in the coming seasons. Protect us from all fear and anxiety of storms and give us an ardent trust and hope in

Your love and mercy.

You alone have the power to command the sea, the wind and the rain. You alone bring peace,

calm, and safety. Father, we thank you in advance, for you are our only Refuge.

We ask this through Christ, Your Son, Who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God,

forever and ever. Amen. Mary, Queen of the Apostles, and Patroness of our Diocese, Pray for us.

What is RCIA?

The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) is the process established for the universal Church for individuals to become Catholic

and receive the Sacraments - Baptism, Confirmation and the Eucharist.

This initiation process also involves a parish community experiencing a renewal in faiths as it prepares and welcomes new members into the

Church. The Rite speaks of conversion as a “spiritual journey” centered on fostering a deep relationship with Jesus and the Church He founded, this journey takes a

place through distinct stages over a period of time.

We will begin the new RCIA process in September.

Open registration began on June 3rd and will close on August 30th.

Registration forms will be available in the Parish Office or online at www.stanastasiachurch.org.

God Gives Us What We Need In today’s Gospel reading, the disciples asked Jesus to teach them how to pray, so He taught them the “Our Father.” In the first part of the “Our Father” we give glory to God by praising Him, and in the second part we ask Him for the things we need. First we ask for our daily bread. This can be asking both for the things like food that our bodies need, and for the spiritual things as well, especially Holy Communion. Next we ask for forgiveness for our sins and for God to keep us away from temptation and evil. Jesus said that if a father on earth would give his children the things they need, then God. Who is our Father in Heaven, will certainly give us what we need. All He wants to do is show that we trust in Him by asking Him.

Make sure you say the “Our Father” every day to praise God our Father and ask Him for everything you need.

www.thekidsbulletin.com Answers to “The Lord’s Prayer” Puzzle: Father, Heaven, make, kingdom, Give, daily, bread, forgive, we, trespass, us, lead, deliver, evil. “Ask and it will be given you.”

Perpetual Eucharistic Adoration

Do you have a ‘holy hour’ with Jesus? “It’s my custom to spend an hour in the chapel once a

week. Tradition calls such a time of prayer, spent before the Blessed Sacrament a ‘holy hour.’ I love those hours. They are blissfully unguarded moments. In the silence,

I pour out my heart to Jesus.” - Scott Hahn

Sacramental Outreach Ministry

“Whatever you did for the least of my brothers and sisters of Mine, you did for Me.”

The Sacramental Outreach Ministry is in need of new members who love the Holy Eucharist. As SOM’s we are entrusted and privileged to bring the “living” Christ (Holy Communion) into the lives of those who can no longer attend Mass. This is a beautiful and fulfilling away to share your faith with our parish community

while serving the Lord.

If you believe that GOD is calling you to be of service in a very special and extra-ordinary way or you have

questions, please contact Charles or Angela Martignetti at 470-313-1650, 470-313-1651 or at 772-489-9257

Encountering Heaven

THE MASS

Our new Parish Study Series will begin on Monday, September 9th and will end on Monday, October 21st.

The evening will begin at 6:30pm and end at 8:30pm. We provide a light meal, babysitting, engaging studies, and wonderful fellowship.

The series, THE MASS, will unravel many of the questions we all have regarding “why do we do what we do at the Mass and what does it all

mean?” You will learn that THE MASS is literally having an encounter with Heaven. This series is engaging, soul pounding, and will deepen your

understanding of what takes place at every Mass.

Don’t miss this opportunity to ENCOUNTER HEAVEN and deepen your understanding of your faith and THE MASS.

To sign up for this 7-week series, call Alice West at 772-519-0840 or email at: [email protected]

The study booklet is $10.
