I invite you to join us each Sunday night for these special services. “Your Sons and Daughters shall Prophecy” The Proclamation of Young Voices Sunday Evening Worship 5:00 p.m. in the Chapel July 10 Youth-led Service Jennifer Cox, Michael Hoffman, and Sarah Leffel will work together to preach the sermon. They will be joined by other students who will lead us in worship. July 17 Children’s Music Camp Presentation The music of children will lead us as we gather in the sanctuary for a special presentation that comes from Music Camp. July 24 John MacTaggert will be preaching John is a student at Beeson Divinity School of Samford University. He is serving as the Student Ministry Intern this summer at our church. July 31 Chris Sims will be preaching Chris has been serving as the Christian Life Center Coordinator for our church. After growing up in First Baptist, he graduated from Duke Divinity School. August 7 Brittany Riddle will be preaching Brittany is a recent graduate of the Baptist Theological Seminary in Richmond. During her time as a student she received the Ralph Langley Preaching Scholarship that is provided by our church. Following worship, everyone is invited to a home-made ice cream fellowship at the home of Jane and David Hull. July 10 Youth-led Service Jennifer Cox, Michael Hoffman, and Sarah Leffel will work together to preach the sermon. They will be joined by other students who will lead us in worship.

July 17 Children’s Music Camp Presentation The music of children will lead us as we gather in the sanctuary for a special presentation that comes from Music Camp.

July 24 John MacTaggert will be preaching John is a student at Beeson Divinity School of Samford University. He is serving as the Student Ministry Intern this summer at our church.

July 31 Chris Sims will be preaching Chris has been serving as the Christian Life Center Coordinator for our church. After growing up in First Baptist, he graduated from Duke Divinity School.

Messenger next week will include an update on our building

program.

This Sunday is the first day to collect school supplies. The collection is supplies only; backpacks are not included. The

supplies will go directly to the classroom teachers. You may bring supplies through July 31 to the bin located in the East Entrance.

Monetary donations are also welcome. The lists are available online at www.fbchsv.org/schoolsupplies, at the Welcome Centers

and in the Sunday School boxes. This is a project for the entire church: for Sunday School classes, other church groups, families and individuals. Please be involved in this church wide project. Kindercamp (completed Kindergarteners)

“God Colors My World” - Our Kindercampers will be exploring different musical instruments, singing, and learning about all the wonderful ways that music relates to

God’s creation.

Younger Camp (completed 1st and 2nd graders)“...A Small Child Shall Lead Them” - Our Younger camp will also engage in music

exploration with rhythm games, singing, crafts, etc. and will be preparing for a children-led worship service on Sunday night, the 17th.

Older Camp (completed 3rd - 6th graders)

“Makin’ Room” - led by Terry Taylor - This summer, we are excited to have Terry Taylor, Associate Pastor of Worship and Music

Ministries at Shades Crest Baptist Church in Birmingham, with us to lead our older music camp! He is active as a curriculum writer, conference leader, guest conductor, and music advocate. He also

serves as an adjunct faculty member at Samford University.
