Mission Statement: The Brentwood Chamber of Commerce is a

voluntary organization dedicated to the promotion of the civic and

commercial progress of the community. We will continuously strive to

maintain and foster a healthy business climate for Chamber members

and the entire community.

DIRECTOR’S MESSAGEDIRECTOR’S MESSAGE JulyJuly

Everyday we face many changes, whether it’s at home, work or our

Community we live in. One thing is true— we all look for support in many

ways, from friends, Family, coworkers and our Community.

This is my second year serving on the Board of Directors for the

Brentwood Chamber. I’ve seen many changes from our past and present

Board Members and Presidents, all wanting to leave something for the

new to carry on and for those to be able draw support from those around them.

We have an awesome Community that is growing in leaps and bounds.

In my two years we’ve held the Corn Festival in different locations and

seen different changes from previous years. What hasn’t changed was the

Community feel you still see from the people who live, work and play

here. I listened to the Women from the Historical Society and enjoyed

their many stories. All of them so proud of the Community they live in. I

watched one of the Ladies who was listening to someone talk about his life

experiences living in this Community, having so much to offer and share

with others. What I walked away with, while there are changes in our lives

big or small we can draw our support from those around us, our Families,

those you work with, leaders and much more in our Community.

The Brentwood Chamber is just one more place to go to for support.

DIRECTOR’S MESSAGEDIRECTOR’S MESSAGE AugustAugust

I have had the honor and pleasure of serving on the Board of Directors for the past 3 years. Brent-wood is so fortunate to have such a dedicated team of Board members and Chamber staff who are genuinely concerned with and actively support our ever expanding community. The Brentwood Chamber of Commerce truly understands that in order to have a strong economic environment, you must have a strong, dedicated community that supports and encourages growth and innovative thinking in a positive way and who recognize that we all share in the responsibility of creating economic success and stability as well as a healthy community for leaders, business owners, educators, and private citizens. Our Board members volunteer their time and expertise to guide the Chamber’s efforts to make our community a better place to live, conduct business, and raise our families. I did not realize the power of networking as a tool to establish your brand, develop a business repu-tation, earn the respect of other business professionals, and ultimately grow your business. I have come to develop many great friends, colleagues, clients and referral partners, not only here in our community, but all over the Bay Area. I’ve been able to grow my business network through many of the events the Chamber holds throughout the year. I also have a voice in the community, and get to learn where our community, both from a business and local aspect, is going. I have been an Account Manager for California Payroll for the last 7 ½ years. We are headquartered in Brentwood with an office in Southern California. I am very fortunate to work for such a great company and terrific group of co-workers. We provide Payroll Services, Time & Attendance Manage-ment and HR Software and Services. In addition to being SAS-70 Certified, we also provide a Work-er’s Comp “Pay-As-You-Go” Program, 401K Reporting Services and Training & Customization Ser-vices. We also process payroll in all 50 states including Puerto Rico. The differences between us and our national competitors are numerous. Through us, clients can confidently focus on their core competencies because we will consistently, quickly, and effectively meet their ever-changing needs. California Payroll is also involved with many payroll professional groups such as the APA, IPPA, TPG, and NCHRA. Don’t forget to check out our website at www.californiapayroll.com. You can also sub-scribe to our complimentary bi-weekly e-Newsletter. I believe the success of the Chamber is measured by the success of its members. I promise you the Chamber Board and staff will continue to work hard and diligently so that we may all succeed! The Chamber offers wonderful benefits to its members, including email blasts, educational opportuni-ties, business referral services, directory listings, grand openings/ribbon cuttings, to name a few. Take advantage of these great benefits! You’ll be glad you did. I look forward to meeting many of you at the next Chamber event and welcome you to our wonderful community! Lori A. Ambassador's Corner

Hello Brentwood!!!

I’m Maurice J. Daroy, a local Farmers Insurance Agent and Director and Ambassador for our Brentwood

Chamber of Commerce. My Chamber life started back in 1998, as a new member attending everything

under the sun. Mixers after Mixers, Ribbon Cuttings after Ribbon Cuttings, it’s been wonderful meeting

new and old members month after month.

Back in 2009 I was asked, “Hey, want to be a Chamber Ambassador?” Without hesitation, I replied,

“Yea!” Then I started thinking about it…What’s a Chamber Ambassador? It’s the opportunity to

become more involved in our community, a chance to meet new people and make more friends. It’s a

door opener for new conversations and new relationships, whether business or just casual. So is there

really a value in being a “Chamber Ambassador?” Absolutely!!! That’s why I am now in my 4th year of

being a Brentwood Chamber Ambassador. For 2012, I’ve also taken a position as a Chamber Director.

This has brought me the reward of helping our Chamber grow to a new level.

There’s really something to be said about our Chamber, it has a positive buzz to it. From way back to

when it was just our dear Bonnie, to now with a full supportive staff and more. It’s been a blessing

watching the Chamber grow, from about 300 members to nearly doubling that, since I joined.

Now a little about me. I’m a father of three wonderful boys - Reese (18), Dustin (15) and Ryan (12). I

have a great wife Angela, my high school sweetheart and best friend for over 22 years. I have a mad

passion for wheels. Whether its motorcycles or bicycles; if you can fall off it, I want to ride it!

Oh…did I mention, I have a local Insurance Agency! Daroy Insurance Agency, is located right here in

Brentwood. So for all your insurance needs, think of me, Maurice J. Daroy, LUTCF your local Farmers

Insurance Agent. I’ve been serving Brentwood and the rest of California for the last 15 years.
