Once your order is confirmed, we will contact you directly to schedule a pick-up time and date at one of our six locations in Northern California.

Freezer-to-Table Steak Cooking
Our valued customer, Scott Wilson from Novato, was kind enough to share the secret freezer-to-table cooking method he uses to prepare his Nakagawa Ranches American Wagyu steaks in 30 minutes!
“(I’ve) done this numerous times. Trust me you will never defrost another New York or Ribeye!! Best char, super moist and tender,” says Scott. This technique is suggested for New York and Ribeye steaks. “I have not had luck with filets,” according to Scott.
Here are the steps Scott follows to prepare 2 Nakagawa Ranches American Wagyu steaks - 1 New York and 1 Ribeye - for a medium finish in 30 minutes:
• Prepare 3 burner gas grill (Scott uses Webber) HIGH-HIGH-HIGH
• Place the frozen steaks on the grill, cook for 5 minutes, season
• Turn the steaks over, season and cook for another 5 minutes
• Change the temperature setting to MEDIUM-OFF-MEDIUM
• Move the steaks to the middle to continue to cook with indirect heat for 15 minutes
• Check the temperature and enjoy!
CAUTION: Keep a water spray bottle handy for flare-ups during direct high temperature cooking!!
Another valued customer or ours, Justin Perry of Lodi, shared this photo taken by his son, Luke, who captured this moment when he visited our ranch back in March.
Luke, a San Joaquin County 4H Club member, entered this photo in the San Joaquin AgFest, an opportunity for the county’s youth to exhibit their livestock and vocational projects for sale at auction.
Luke’s photo, titled “Social Distancing,” won a gold medal! Congratulations, Luke!!!
If this wasn’t impressive enough, Luke also received Reserve Champion at the AgFest for his Berkshire pig named Kevin Bacon. Way to go, Luke!!
In the Fall, Luke will start raising an American Wagyu steer born on our ranch for his next 4H project. We look forward to sharing more highlights later this year!
