BELL CONCERT TODAY

Fellowship of the Ring

The 10th annual bell concert will be held on

TODAY, June 11, at 5:00 pm in the Fellowship

Hall. The following groups will be performing:

❍ Allegro Ringers

❍ youth Bells

❍ Percussion Players

(with the youth Bells)

Also, The Response will be adding their talent to the event.

The groups will be playing your favorite songs from this past year of

ringing. And, as a special treat, both the youth Bells and Allegro Ringers

will be joining together to play the finale: lord of the Rings. (did you

down as our faithful group of em-

broiderers works away. if you, too,

have the gift of embroidery, the best

The place for the Mission u

weekend has been changed to Cal

lutheran in Thousand Oaks. The

dates are July 7-9. The cost is $275

per adult, which covers lodging

and all meals. you can find the in-

formation about the program and

then UnitedMethodistWomen, then

2017 Mission u.) if you don't have a

computer you can call the dean of

the weekend, laura Wilson, at

Mission u is an opportunity to

study a spiritual growth topic, a ge-

ographic area, and an issue impact-

ing society. Participants grow in

understanding of the mission of the

church in the current world con-

text. The studies give particular at-

tention to the responsibilities of

women in the fulfillment of mis-

sion. This mission education pro-

gram strengthens the leadership

and membership of UMW, and it

can be a life changer for the indi-

viduals who attend. if you want to

check with someone who has at-

tended Mission u, try lynn Ash-

worth.

unit meeting has been replaced by

the tea.

A Note From Kirk FergusonWe in the office recently received a nice note from church member

“Commander” Kirk Ferguson. He is feeling well and adjusting to living

at Raincross at Riverside in his own apartment, although he misses his

home. He is able to get out on the facility’s van to visit his doctor, shop,

and have dinner out. if you would like contact information, please call

the church office.

FUMCOR Safe Gatherings

Refugee Dinner This SaturdayPlease join us for our benefit "interfaith iftar dinner" to celebrate the

spirit of the holy month of Ramadan. Afghan and Syrian refugees will

prepare delicious authentic food that we can all enjoy. There will be rep-

resentatives from different faiths sharing some words. you can meet new

friends, support your community and enjoy some wonderful food.
