The administration, faculty & staff would like to thank the parishioners of OLA for your prayers and support throughout the

the Father and each other. We Thank You!
Thank you, Sr. Kathleen for teaching the children how to find the love of Jesus and how to love
like Jesus. The religion and music classes you

Pastor’s Corner
My Dear Parishioners,
Last weekend, we began our elections for Pastoral Council and this week as well, ballots will be available in the pews for voting. This will be the last weekend for elections. As a reminder, every parishioner 18 years and older is able to participate. Please vote for 4 candidates and sign the ballot in order for it to be valid and counted. Please vote – only once. We thank all of you for your participation in this important election and I look forward to sharing the results with you next weekend.
As I mentioned last week, I am so grateful and thankful to all of our parishioners who have responded so positively to our recent Increased Offertory Program and Stewardship Sunday at the end of last March. Our collections have grown stronger and I have been so edified by the positive responses of so many people in this endeavor to strengthen our parish. To show my gratitude for your listening to my appeal, as well as for your prayerful and financial support, I would like to make Sunday, June 9th “Gratitude Sunday”. Light refreshments will be served that weekend in the Piazza after all of our Masses. That Sunday is also Pentecost Sunday in which we celebrate the outpouring of the Holy Spirit and the gifts we share as members of the body of Christ to build up the Church on earth. I ask you to plan on staying a few minutes after Mass next week-end as we celebrate the many gifts we share as a parish community and our “gratitude” for all we have been given by God and all we are to each other.
It seems hard to believe that the end of another school year is now here. This coming week we will celebrate our Pre-K Closing Prayer Service as well as Kindergarten Graduation. I thank our principal, Patty Welsh, for all that she has done this past year to make Assumption Academy so vibrant and strong, as well as all of the dedicated faculty and staff. I pray that our children & teachers will have a restful and peaceful summer. God bless all of you!
Love and prayers, Fr. Carey
