FAREWELL TO REV. JOHN CRONIN

After two years with the Parish of Mater Christi, our Parochial Vic-

ar, Rev. John Cronin, will be moving on to a new assignment ef-

fective July 1, 2019. Please join us in expressing our gratitude to

Fr. Cronin and wishing him many blessings as he starts his new

position at Christ Sun of Justice Church at R.P.I. in Troy. Farewell

receptions will be held in the meditation garden after all masses

this weekend.

Recently ordained Rev. Kyle Eads has been assigned to Mater

Christi as our new Parochial Vicar effective July 1, 2019. Please

give Fr. Eads a warm welcome!

YOUTH CHOIR AT MATER CHRISTI

Do you have musical talents you would like to share with others?

Mater Christi’s Teen Choir, which performs regularly at the 4:00

mass on Saturday will be expanding into a Youth Choir this sum-

mer, and is looking to welcome students in grades 4-12 to perform

with us. Singers and instrumentalists are welcome. We will be

performing at various Sunday masses throughout the summer.

with us!

BEREAVEMENT SUPPORT GROUP

The next two meetings of the Mater Christi Spousal Support

Group for those who have lost a spouse or significant other will

take place on Wednesday, July 10 and Wednesday, July 24 at

6:00 pm in the Parish Center (Room A). Meetings are every sec-

ond and fourth Wednesday of the month. Questions? Contact

MEN’S HOLY HOUR—DATE CHANGE

For the convenience of those traveling over the 4th of July, the

July men's monthly Holy Hour will be Friday July 12, the

2nd Friday of the month. We will have our usual holy hour with

evening prayer followed by fellowship and discussion

SUMMER OFFICE HOURS

The Parish Office will close at 12 noon on Fridays

from July 12th through August 30th. The office will

be open regular hours (9:00 am to 3:00 pm) from Monday through

Thursday throughout the summer. �

PARISH OFFICE CLOSING FOR HOLIDAY

The Parish Office will be closed on Thursday, & Friday,

July 4 & 5 for the holiday. We will resume normal busi-

ness hours on Monday, July 8.

provides advice and assistance to the diocese and parishes

in regard to real estate matters and overs acquisitions, sales

or leasing of property. Your donation to

the Bishop’s Appeal makes these services available to par-

JOB OPENING

Part-Time Evening Receptionist is needed at the Roman

Catholic Diocese of Albany, 40 N. Main Ave., Albany. The

receptionist is responsible for answering the telephone and

greeting the public at the Pastoral Center main reception ar-

ea. The hours are 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM Monday, Wednesday

and Friday (scheduled days may vary). If you are interested

MATER CHRISTI FOOD PANTRY WISH LIST

We wish to thank our parishioners for your generous support of

the Mater Christi Food Pantry. Your gifts of food and supplies, as

well as the monetary donations received, enable us to provide

healthy choices to our guest families who are so grateful for what

they receive. As summer nears, please remember our families in

need. The following is a list of suggested popular items, but we

welcome any non-perishable goods with current ‘use by’ dates at

any time. Envelopes for monetary donations are available on the

table in the gathering area.

Our annual parish budget is based on weekly offertory collections

of $15,800, which we need to cover our operating expenses. For

the weekend of June 22 & 23 our collection was $11,592.75. This

was donated by approximately 391 families, which we are able to

identify through envelope, check and electronic giving use. This

total also included about $1,624.00 in loose cash from other do-

nors. We appreciate your continued support of the parish!
