    Back to Back!  The 17th Annual Milk River Catfish Classic was held this

    past Saturday, and a record 74 teams out of the 80 brought in

    catfish to the Famous Midnight weigh-ins. Ryan and TylerGeorge polished off the evening when they were crowned

    back-to-back champions. This marks the third time in Cat

    Classic history to have seen back-to-back champs. At right,

    Cat Classic Tourney Director Brenner Flaten gives the

    Montana Bar’s Paul Monson the Aaron Chatten Memorial

     Award. Paul is the sixth recipient to receive this prestigious

    award that goes to an individual who puts forth the extra

    effort in his/her dedication to make the Milk River Catfish

    Abigail Helland, daughter oPete and Allison Helland, is oneo 11 contestants competingor the title o Miss Montana inGlendive June 9-11.  Afer graduating valedictorian rom GHS in2014, she has been attendingMSU Bozeman majoring inpsychology. She received theGovernors Best & BrightestScholarship and served as aMontana State Senate Page in2013. Abigail says her best nonacademic achievement wassaving her three-year-old sister’s lie with CPR when shewas just in the 7th grade.  She hopes to become a physical therapist helpingchildren with disabilities. Her platorm is Finding theAbility Beyond the Disability.  Abigail calls Glasgow a small town with lots o heart.Her mom is the most influential person in her lie. I shewere on a deserted island she’d like any book by MalcolmGladwell, preerably Outliers. She says her best riendwould describe her as “blondes really do have more fun! ”  Te scholarship competition is this week, with the finalselections to be made Saturday June 11th! Montana gets a voice too in the “Montana’s Choice” contest. Everyone cancast a vote or $1.00 or the candidate o their choosing(go to: www.missmontana.com/Montana_s_Choice_-_

    Miss.html). Te winner o Montana’s Choice is guaranteeda spot in the finals Saturday night!!! All unds raised areadded to the scholarships awarded to the contestants.  Votes have to be cast beore this Friday, and as othis morning, Abbi is in the lead with 788 votes (2ndplace is 679). So roll those votes in or Abigail!
