SHIMANO s.r.o.Shimano Czech Republic, s.r.o. was founded 13. 3. 2001 in Karviná. In the first phase of their existence they were assembly plant of cycling components that assemble products from parts manufactured in Japan, Singapore and Italy.

In 2003, construction was completed on the second phase of the factory. Along with that was started primary production engineering. In 2004 they started in rented premises in Ostrava-Kunčice, with technology Cold pressing.

The core of their production lies in machining, heat treatment of metals, plastic injection and other activities prior to final assembly. Currently in company Shimano Czech Republic, s. r. o. works more than 500 employees.
