The current rezoning application allows for improved facilities, up to date amenities, and environmental enhancements to welcome boys from many parts of the world to participate in St. George’s excellent programme of study. The current rezoning application ensures that St. George’s School may prosper, the Dunbar area benefit and worldwide community be enhanced through service by graduates of this higher centre of learning. CONTRIBUTIONS TO INDIVIDUALS The students at St. George’s School contribute to individuals in the local community. On the buses, in shops, along the lovely streets of Dunbar, and at public events, St. George’s Students offer their kindness and creative problem solving on many occasions. They model excellent behaviour and community service by embodying the school values, listed below. St. George’s School, Vancouver BC.   • 1. The school provides space for public meetings such as those organized by Dunbar Emergency and Earthquake Preparedness(DEEP) and other organizations.. 2. St. George’s School students assist at many community events.

    CONTRIBUTIONS TO THE WIDER WORLD COMMUNITYSt. George’s School is recognized worldwide. Upon graduation, students go out into the world bringing excellence and valueto each endeavour and location where they work and live.

    SUMMARY OF RATIONALEWe support the plan for an increase in floor space for school, study, lodgings, and outdoor gardening/growing space for StGeorge’s School as well as relocation of the playing field to the Northwest corner of the property. In case of a disaster therezoning plan would also provide space for residents in the surrounding area to gather, thus the rezoning could enhancepreparedness for an earthquake and other disasters.
