PreK Choice Board Character Adventure Use this graphic to learn how to access an eBook! Find a book that is a “good fit” for you. After you read, or listen to the book, consider this prompt: Who were the characters in your story? Draw a picture of your favorite character. Be sure to include lots of details. Why was he/she your favorite? Write one word to describe the character. Such as, funny, silly, smart, etc. ABC Mouse for PK and Kinder Shape Walk Go on a shape hunt. Draw a picture comparing three items you found in your kitchen by size. Did you compare by height or length? Watch This Handwashing Video! Language Development Encourage your child to express themselves during family conversations: 1. Try asking open ended questions, with responses that would require short phrases or sentence answers. 2. Ask for elaboration. If your child responds with a single word, ask a follow up question to get them to say more. 3. Model longer phrases when necessary, and have your child repeat it back to you correctly. Think about their  internal (inside) and external (outward) traits. Plan a day with them and draw a picture! Then write about your favorite character.
