The outcome: Following test application, 1st level automobile storage
compartment temperatures went from 65°C to 38°C.
As a result, all 37 new vessels have been painted with Keisoukun Gaina. Moreover, MOL mandated that decks on all new vessels be covered with the product as well.
The situation: On the open sea cargo ships going from cold to hot areas experience the harshest of conditions. Damage from the salty air and ultraviolet rays are 4 times as strong on the sea as on land. It is for this reason MOL was looking for a way to strengthen their fleet.
