Kentucky Work Ready CommunitiesRecertification
• Certification is good for two years from date of approval by the KWIB
• Applications for recertification must be submitted in accordance with the application review timeline posted on on the Kentucky Work Ready Communities website
• KWIB will decide at the next scheduled meeting to grant or deny recertification
Required Submittal Contents
• Cover letter• Work Ready Communities application form• Meeting attendance or sign-in sheets from
committee meetings• Meeting notes or minutes• Evidence of continuous improvement• Updated committee roster
Kentucky Work Ready in Progress Community Updates and Extensions
• Certification is good for three years• County may apply for work ready status at any time
during the three year period• At the two year point the county must submit a
Recertification Update Form• After three years , if the county has not met the criteria
for full work ready status, they may request an extension up for one year
• KWIB will decide to grant the extension at the next scheduled meeting following submission of the required documentation.
