Thanks to the Durrwachters and the Stucks for putting on a fabulous tour of the Endless Mountains. The weather was perfect and we had a wonderful group in attendance.

FROM BEHIND THE WHEEL

by Bob Cornell

Hey! Keystoners! This is a quickie column so that we can get the newsletter out right away. Sometimes it takes me longer to write them, but they don't seem to get any better. Gwen and I spent this past weekend at Watkins Glen for the Vintage races. I don't know how many years we've done this, but I think it's around 15 years in a row. I just love to watch the cars from my racing era run-especially the old Porsches. I don't know why, but they seem a lot faster than when I was doing it. I must be getting old! We went with our friends Dave Porter and Jim Stuck. Dave's not a Porsche driver, but he loves the racing cars as much as me-so I love going with him. The end of October is the fall President's meeting and this time it's in the Scranton area. This will probably be my last one, but I want you to know that it's been a real pleasure to represent this region. I really love PCA and thanks to all of you for allowing me to participate at the zone level. Our September event is the Canyon Cruise. I don't have any details as I write this except that it's on Sunday September 25th. I'm sure that all of the important information is somewhere in the newsletter. I know that it will be a great event-why? Because it always is! So put this date on your calandar and make sure that you show up-it'll be worth it! That's all for now, but remember: PCA's not just about thecars, it's about the people.
