PM Falconry on the front lawn

Head out to the lawn area where you will be greeted by the team at Maximillion who will take you through a special falconry experience. Medieval Hawking or Falconry was the ancient sport of hunting small wild game or birds with trained birds of prey. The trained birds of prey were not restricted to falcons - hawks and occasionally eagles were also used.

A Kingsman loves learning new skills. You never know when they might come in handy.

Evening Explore Dundas Castle grounds or freshen up before dinner

Evening

Gather in the Main Hall for welcoming and pre-drinks

Experience a true Scottish welcome by being piped over the Auld Keep. Pre-dinner drinks will be served in the Armoury.

Scottish Dinner in the Stag Chamber

The piper will pipe guests to the Stag Chamber for dinner where you will get to experience a 4-course meal with wine and taste traditional Scottish haggis. The piper will provide address to the haggis. You’ll also get to check out the castle’s impressive old weapons collection.

But remember, a Kingsman never has weapons at the dinner table. At least in plain sight.

Coffee & night caps in The Library

Feel free to enjoy after dinner drinks. Freshly brewed fair trade coffee or tea and a luxury Scottish tablet. Read a book and learn a thing or two.

Address: 19-21 George St, Edinburgh EH2 2PB Phone: 0131 225 1251 The Principal has been welcoming hotel guests since 1881. At its heart are five listed Georgian townhouses, built in 1775 as homes for Edinburgh’s most prosperous citizens. Winner of Scottish Hotel of the Year at the 2017 Scottish Hotel Awards, The Principal Edinburgh on George Street is an ideal base from which to explore the city or conduct business. The sensitive, multi-million-pound restoration and refurbishment combines luxurious natural materials such as oak, marble and leather with a palette of colours inspired by the great 19th-century Scottish landscape painters.

Lunch at The Printing Press (inside hotel)

The Printing Press Bar and Kitchen is the latest addition to Edinburgh's vibrant restaurant scene. Open from first thing in the morning until late at night.

The restaurant on George Street nods to the capital’s rich literary heritage. Number 25 was home in the 1780s to the acclaimed novelist Susan Ferrier, the equal of Jane Austen according to Sir Walter Scott, and Robert Burns was a frequent visitor. Late in 1840, records show one John Oliphant living there – and Oliphant’s and Ferrier’s descendants founded Oliphant, Anderson and Ferrier, one of Scotland’s most prestigious publishing houses.

If you are here on a Sunday, enjoy their delicious Sunday roast.

Evening Pre-dinner whisky tasting at Scotch in The Balmoral Hotel

Address: 1 Princess Street, Edinburgh EH2 2EQ Phone: +44 131 556 2414 The Balmoral’s whisky bar, Scotch, opened its doors in September 2013 paying homage to Scotland’s national drink. Tucked away from the hotel lobby, Scotch offers the largest collection of single malt Scottish whiskies available to the general public in Edinburgh. The collection boasts over 500 whiskies from Speyside, Islay, Campbeltown, the Highlands and the Lowlands.

Scotch’s collection is overseen by three highly trained Whisky Ambassadors who are on hand to offer guests advice when selecting a dram. The Whisky Ambassadors wear contemporary highland attire by Kinloch Anderson, kilt makers to Her Majesty The Queen, in cheviot, game keeper and gold tweeds mixed with gold satin trims and whisky coloured accents.

A Kingsman certainly loves their whisky, so it only makes sense to visit the home of the largest collection of single malt Scottish whiskies.

Nestled in the valley of Forgue, deep in the East Highland hills, is The GlenDronach, one of the oldest distilleries in Scotland. The GlenDronach is of true Highland style: a heavy and robust spirit, perfect for a long maturation period in sherry casks.

The GlenDronach Distillery announced the exclusive release of The GlenDronach Kingsman Edition 1991 Vintage, a unique collaboration with Marv films and Twentieth Century Fox to mark the release of ‘Kingsman: The Golden Circle’.

The GlenDronach was personally selected by Film Director, Matthew Vaughn, for his new Kingsman film as The GlenDronach is his single malt whisky of choice. To create The GlenDronach Kingsman Edition 1991 Vintage, which marks the birth year of Kingsman agent Gary ‘Eggsy’ Unwin, only the finest sherry casks were selected by Whisky Maker Rachel Barrie. Unashamedly Highland and endlessly complex, this rare, limited release shares the Kingsman creed of impossible perfection built on unshakeable tradition..
