Brother Knights, many of you have seen we replaced our BBQ pit last month. It still needs a few things for completion. Several people donated time and material to make this possible. We are currently seeking new members to join us. If you know of a good candidate, invite them to our family meal before our meeting. I also ask all Sir Knights to participate in the fallouts for the state convention in Corpus at the end of April.

As we prepare for Easter, let us remember the Easter Triduum. This memorializes the suffering, death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. During this time, Jesus had

the Institution of the Eucharist. What a great gift given to us. We are able to receive the Body of Christ at every Mass we attend. Jesus’ death shows us God’s unconditional love for us. Jesus laid down his life for us. Are we capable of this kind of love? His resurrection gives us hope. Hope for our eternal life with him in heaven. The Triduum is a reminder that we to will suffer but our love for God will get us through our hardships.

Prayer to Mary Queen of the KnightsOur Lady, Queen of the Knights, bless all the activities of our order. Keep us true to the pledge to extend the kingship of thy Divine Son on earth. Through Thine intercession, win for us the grace ever to exemplify in our public and private lives, the virtues, which should characterize those specially dedicated to the service of the heavenly court. Make us always aware that as your Knights we are constantly observed, our faith judged and our order appreciated. Accept O Mary, this renewed pledge of fealty and devotion of thy servants, the Knights

MONTHLY MEETING (Thurs. 11th 7:15 p.m. meal, 8:15 p.m. meeting)Brother Knights, join the officers and other members for our regular monthly meeting. Brother Knights, join the officers and other members for our regular business meeting. Your voice is important as we discuss our planned programs and activities. Invite your spouse/family for the pre-meeting meal starting at 7:15 p.m. Well sink your teeth into a delicious Coasta Rican Cusine as our entrees at our dinner plus a variety of deserts. Costa Rican cuisine is known for being fairly mild, with high reliance on fresh fruits and vegetables. Rice and black beans are a staple of most traditional Costa Rican meals. Costa Rican fare is nutritionally well rounded, and nearly always cooked from scratch from fresh ingredients. JUST FYI. Not to confuse anyone. Come celebrate with us! Meeting will start at 8:15 p.m. after family meal.

PORTLAND CITY COUNCIL MEMBER TOM YARDLEY will present a short update on Portland’s current status during our monthly council family dinner to all who attend. Come and get the real-scoop!

KNIGHTS’ CHOIR (Sat. 13th)The KofC choir will be singing at the Saturday evening (6:00 p.m.) Mass. Practice at the Daily Chapel at 5:30 p.m. We have had very good participation and are always looking for more of our brother knights to join in. After Mass, we journey to the Ladies Night Out will be at ROMANO'S MACARONI GRILL" 5133 S Padre Island Dr. Corpus Christi, TX. 78411 Ph# 361-993-6466.

PRAYER FOR THE SICK:

Dear Jesus, Devine Physician and Healer of the sick, we turn to You in this time of illness. O dearest Comforter of the Troubled, alleviate our worry and sorrow with Your entle love, and grant us the grace and strength to accept this burden. Dear God, we place our worries in your hands. We ask that You restore Your servant to health again. Above all, grant us the grace to acknowledge Your holy will and know that whatsoever You do, You do for the love of us. Amen.
